Medical Student Bursary Applications – 2019-20 Winners
The Derby Medical Society is proud to support the career development of medical students through awarding elective bursaries. Three bursaries of £250 are awarded to the successful applicants, who are invited back to give a presentation on their elective experiences at the start of the next lecture series.
Applications from students undertaking their elective in 2020 were of an exceptionally high standard this year with over 60 applications.
The winners are:
Sarah Owen who will be travelling to Samoa to work in Emergency Medicine and Primary Care.
Shahid Ali plans to go to Queens, New York City to work in Primary Care.
Emily Armon-Drewett will be going to the Phillipines to work in Offender Healthcare and plans to work on a QIP looking at safeguarding.
