Professor Owen Judd
Owen Judd is Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital. Qualifying in 1998 from Nottingham, he initially trained as a Physician, and subsequently as a Surgeon. His special interest areas are Neurotology, dizziness and balance disorders, migraine and complex voice problems. He has pioneered a number of different examination and surgical techniques including minimally invasive Endoscopic Laser Ear Surgery. He is currently the Medical Director of Medical Education for the Trust and oversees the training of over 400 medical students and 600 resident doctors across the whole Trust. He is research active and has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles including 11 Cochrane Systematic reviews, 6 book chapters and 2 text books. He is on the Council of the Royal Society of Medicine, the British Society of Otology, The Barany Society and is the Honorary Secretary of the British Society of Neuro-Otology. When he gets a spare moment, he likes to surf and sail in Cornwall.
